My Second clock experiment

IMG_1643

This is my second clock and thus far its my favorite! I really love the way it turned out, though I have decided to probably not purchase the same type of mechanism again. Live and learn I suppose.

There are more clock adventures to come! Meanwhile this clock is available in my Etsy shop.

Etsy Shop Review: Buddha Bellies

With a new baby on the way I have found lots of excuses to troll pinterest and Etsy looking at neat things I think my little one “needs”. I have refrained from purchasing a ton of things because frankly I am not overly well off and there are three baby showers in my future. Obviously I will make purchases after that, but until then I am trying to be good.  However I have indulged in a few things. On thing I have purchased are these awesome onesie stickers from Buddha Bellies.

belly stickers

There are 12 stickers included for months 1-12 of babies first year. I am really happy with them now that they have finally reached me. What most impressed me about this shop however was their customer service. They have a ton of cute products which you can view here. When I ordered the stickers I used my paypal to pay for them and unthinkingly didnt check the address. This was unfortunate because it meant my awesome stickers were sent to the wrong address. After about 3 weeks I remembered that I had ordered these stickers and so I looked at my receipt and realized my silly mistake. The shop owners were so kind. They worked with me and when my stickers were returned to them they shipped them back to me for just a tiny shipping fee.

Buddha Bellies shop rating:

Customer Service – 5 out of 5

Product matches description – 5 out of 5

Shipping speed – 5 out of 5

Overall satisfaction with purchase – 5 out of 5

If you ever need something like the onesie stickers, and they have a ton of different ones, I definitely recommend supporting this wonderful Etsy shop!

Time keeps on slipping…

Clocks! I have always been slightly intimidated by the idea of making a clock. Well that is true no longer! I made this neat little clock for my brothers girlfriend at her request and I have got to say I have now been bitten by the bug. I want to make many many more different types of clocks! I am working on one now and I am thinking about one for the Nursery. You can find this one in my Etsy shop!

What have you been creating?

Out of Sorts? Or sort of out?

Ever feel out of sorts? That is an interesting phrase really. What does “Out of sorts” even mean? From what I can gather there is no cohesive one origin for the phrase. Basically it means to not feel like one’s normal self. And yeah, that fits me. So what have I been up to this week? Well I have very much enjoyed the Fourth of July Festivities last Friday. We swam, and ate, and I lazed about a bit.

There I am showing off my buddies and my rocking skirt and hair do!

I’ve been helping a fried get ready for a yard sale, trying desperately to clean out some of my own junk and find a new place to live, and working myself to the bone. That is basically my whole Summer actually, working myself to the bone. The summer Series marches on  and I march with it. Last week the kids and I worked on making clay figures for their fairy gardens for the end of the month. That was actually a lot of fun. I made half a dozen mushrooms.

Jabba the Hutt. Seriously! My kids are awesome.

Other than all that I am attempting to determine what I want to write about going forward. I still love to craft, don’t get me wrong, but I think there are going to be more and more pieces about whatever I think is important, like the pageant piece I wrote last week. I think my writing pause has been mostly determined by my state of busy, and my lack of focus. Hopefully I will be able to remedy that with the expansion of what I write about.

Speaking of crafting, that has been pretty awesome this week. I got a custom order for brown button and wire trees that were a foot tall. They turned out great. I had to get wooden spools rather than the vintage or recycle ones I usually use, but they look awesome.

I didn’t make very much because I had to buy an unexpected supply, but it was a fun project. I am about to do a price overhaul anyway. There are a ton of great resources on how to price your handmade goods and  I am about to take advantage of a few.

I hope you all are having a lovely Friday. Tomorrow I am going back to Jack O Lantern farms to set up a booth there. I can’t wait!

What I have been up to!

This has been an exciting and interesting week. First let me say that if you are on bloglovin, you should definitely be following me now that I have my own account there and I have registered the blog.  I must say that I look pretty freaking cool on that website. I am very glad that I have been taking better pictures lately.

I am on pseudo vacation this week, though I have been working on various projects and sewing and mending and such for my Etsy shop and for hopefully getting a booth for First Friday’s next month. I made my first Etsy sale, which was awesome. I sold this style wreath to a friend of mine. It was exciting to get my first sale this time around. I really hope more comes of it, but we shall see.

The other things that I am discovering this week is that I love sausage gravy biscuits and I have an obsessive love of coffee and life is fun. I’m planning out my blog posts for the month and I have a lot of neat things going on. Within the next few days I am going to do a book review and hopefully another character interview if I can just get the questions together.  Hopefully within the next few days I will be able to announce some more good news. For now I am going to work on those etsy listings and loving life. Have a lovely day.

Hopping off the walls excited!

I am officially $0.80 cents away from my goal in Etsy sales for this month!!! I just can’t believe it. I had a plan and I am working toward a goal. It is so awesome to see it come together.

I’m making two of these today for a pair of brothers. If I am extremely careful I can do it from the fabric I have. What an amazingly awesome stupendous day!

Have a lovely Palm Sunday everyone!
